ALPACAS FARM TOUR & FIBER CRAFT Friday, November 8 | 10:00am Harvard, MA Join us for a day trip to an alpaca farm! Enjoy close-up visits with friendly alpacas, walk with them around the pasture, and meet all 34 residents. Learn about alpaca care, get your questions answered, and try your hand at a fiber craft with alpaca fiber. Fall 2024 Cultural lecture series: Explore the World with Barry Pell Wed., November 13| 1:00 pm Hollis Room at the Gleason Public Library Please join the Carlisle Council on Aging and Human Services and the Gleason Public Library this fall for the 21st Annual Cultural Lecture Series, held in person in the Hollis Room at the Gleason Public Library. Faroe Islands - Rugged Nature in the North Atlantic The Faroe Islands, a remote group of eighteen islands settled by Vikings over a thousand years ago, are known for their striking beauty, shaped by volcanic origins and glacial erosion. Covered in lush greenery, the islands feature steep ridges, cascading waterfalls, and charming villages with turf-roofed houses. Barry Pell, who recently explored nearly all of the islands, found them to be the most beautiful place he has ever visited. Thank you to the Friends of the Carlisle Council on Aging and Friends of Gleason Public Library for supporting the 21st annual Cultural Lecture Series. Free! COAHS Thanksgiving Lunch Thursday, November 21 | 12:00pm Union Hall, FRS Come join us for a traditional thanksgiving lunch with all the trimmings followed by a a performance of "Elvis Memories" featuring national award-winning Elvis's tribute artist, DAN FONTAINE. Dan Fontaine grew up in Massachusetts and was raised listening to the music of Elvis Presley. At 16, he began his music career singing and playing guitar at Hillcrest Church where his father pastors. In 2014, Dan began performing his tribute to Elvis all over New England working at his craft which aims to capture the energy, passion, and vocal prowess of The King. He is a gifted band leader, originally fronting Fellowship of The King and currently performing his regional tribute show, "Viva Las Elvis: From Sun To Vegas" feat. Memphis Sun Mafia Band. Faroe Islands - Rugged Nature in the North Atlantic
The Faroe Islands, a remote group of eighteen islands settled by Vikings over a thousand years ago, are known for their striking beauty, shaped by volcanic origins and glacial erosion. Covered in lush greenery, the islands feature steep ridges, cascading waterfalls, and charming villages with turf-roofed houses. Barry Pell, who recently explored nearly all of the islands, found them to be the most beautiful place he has ever visited.

Dan Fontaine grew up in Massachusetts and was raised listening to the music of Elvis Presley. At 16, he began his music career singing and playing guitar at Hillcrest Church where his father pastors. In 2014, Dan began performing his tribute to Elvis all over New England working at his craft which aims to capture the energy, passion, and vocal prowess of The King. He is a gifted band leader, originally fronting Fellowship of The King and currently performing his regional tribute show, "Viva Las Elvis: From Sun To Vegas" feat. Memphis Sun Mafia Band. Dan Fontaine is an award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist and has competed at Images of The King and Ultimate Elvis festivals/competitions nationally and internationally.
