    Rising from the core mantle boundary a hot plume surges to the surface of the Earth. Today it meets the surface at Yellowstone National Park where we see geysers, hot springs, boiling mud pots, and a giant volcanic caldera. In the past the Hotspot poured floods of basaltic lava over much of Oregon and Washington states. Come with the us on a 45 min. virtual geological adventure exploring this amazing story.     Located in the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill in Waltham, an icon of the American Industrial Revolution, the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation brings together intriguing artifacts, cultural insights, and inspiring stories to delight people of all ages, enabling them to see the past and envision the future. We will receive a private group tour by Museum Educator and Carlislean
