Melissa started with the COAHS in May of 2023 after relocating to Massachusetts from Florida. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology & Psychology from Elmhurst University in Illinois, and a master's degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University. She brings over 10 years of experience working with older adults in a variety of settings, including Assisted Living, Memory Care & Skilled Nursing Facilities, PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), a hospice program, and a Hunger & Homeless Coalition. Her work has included activity programming, case management, financial/benefit management, social services, marketing and more. Melissa is passionate about helping older adults age in place and assisting them in navigating the health care system.
