| 5 | 6 | 7 Lunch & Theater Show
Lunch & Laughter: “Le Zanzare!” Community Theater Saturday, February 7 | 3:00pm 1st Floor Community Room, Benfield Farms Carlisle may be famous for its mosquitoes, but this winter that nickname takes center stage in a lively and original theater project called “The Crab.” Created by three local families and funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, this unique production grew out of twelve weekly rehearsals and a spirit of collaboration and fun. Written from a 1566 outline, The Crab is an improvised play that requires little memorization. The eight actors have learned to read and anticipate one another, bringing the story to life in a way that is fresh, spontaneous, and highly entertaining. Join us for lunch and enjoy this local community theater production. The group hopes to offer the program again next autumn, welcoming even more participants. Come share a meal, support local creativity, and enjoy the performance—and keep an eye out for another theatrical adventure next year. With some productions featuring up to thirteen characters, there is plenty of room for new members to join Le Zanzare! Register by, Monday, January 12 at 978-371-2895 or coahs@carlislema.gov |
